Industrial Customers

Rate 25 (Firm Industrial) – Heat Only

A high-volume natural gas consumer, which uses natural gas for manufacturing on a large scale, is considered an industrial customer. There are two types of industrial customer classifications:

FIRM – Firm industrial customers cannot be curtailed and do not have a back-up fuel source. There is a premium charge for a firm industrial service because Chester County Natural Gas Authority must maintain demand contracts with suppliers.  Firm industrial rates are negotiated with each industrial customer.

INTERRUPTIBLE – Interruptible industrial customers can be curtailed. Interruptible industrial customers must have a back-up fuel source.  Rates are negotiated with each industrial customer.
